If you are feeling stuck in any area of life including, career and business, parenting, friendships and relationships, health and well being or finances here are 5 things you can do to flip it.

  1. Recognise all of our experiences are here to teach us and help us expand into who we are here to be.
  2. The block that is sitting right in front of you at the moment is there to move you towards an inspired life.
  3. If we push against it by not accepting what is happening to us right now, then we stay stuck.
  4. If you lean into it and move into a state of presence with the situation that you are stuck in then you create space, movement and flow and solutions and change have no other option than to come into your life.
  5. We move forward towards where we are meant to be when we surrender to what is happening now.

 

HOW DO I SURRENDER AND ACCEPT SOMETHING THAT IS THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT I WANT IN MY LIFE?

Making peace with something we don’t want to be happening is not easy. We are taught to resist what makes us unhappy and seek out what makes us feel good.

I’ll give you a tip – this doesn’t work!

Happiness is a temporary emotion that like all other emotions, comes and goes. Trying to seek it out by avoiding what life is presenting to you keeps you on the avoidance roundabout and that is where we get stuck.

The first thing to help you get off the roundabout is to stop the avoidance.

Give yourself a moment to sit with the situation that you are struggling with.  Think about it for a minute and pay attention to the uncomfortable feeling that it is bringing up in your body.

Be aware, that at this point we will often seek out a distraction to avoid the unease we are feeling such as heading to the fridge or picking up our phones BUT here is the moment where you can flip it and create change.

Instead lean into the unease that is coming up and be present with it. Take some gentle breaths and let it be there. Emotions are simply a reaction to an event that has played out. They are meant to come up and then release. They are simply energy and once the emotion is recognised and heard by us, it will move on and the beauty of that is we then move into the space that is behind the reaction and that is where the change is!

The key to bringing in the change is to not stop at the emotion!

Avoiding the emotions that make us uncomfortable is what keeps us stuck.

Leaning into the unease and making a conscious choice to accept it in that moment will move us through the block and into the solution and change.

That is when we expand and a new direction opens up towards where you want to be in that area of your life.

The key to flipping where you are stuck is to first embrace and accept it, then you create awareness to allow the change to come in.
